Landscapes can take many forms.  What inspires me the most is the forest.  Deep and inviting.  The smells, the sounds. 

Many of my landscapes combine palette knife and brushwork.  The foreground is often heavily textured:  You can touch it, feel it.   The background is soft and faded, out of focus.

Some pieces are so thick with paint, it’s difficult to pick out the detail, much like standing in a dense forest.
